In 2006, the late Jan Staats, former Market Manager of the Worthington Farmer’s Market, introduced folk music at the market. A regular music jam occurs at the market on periodic Saturdays led by some Columbus Folk Music Society members. Regular music jams also occur in other parts of Columbus.  

A number of Columbus Folk Music Society member musicians attend, along with interested others, in order to share their love of playing music for the benefit of the community. Other musicians are welcome to join in.

All of the jams encourage audience participation, which is an event highlight!
